스팀픽(Steempeak)의 스케쥴 기능이 이렇게 유용한 기능일줄이야..
짬이 날 때 포스팅을 몰아서 쓸 수 있는 요긴한 툴이네요. ^^
돌이켜보면 2019년 하반기에는 새로알게된 좋은 곡들이 참 많았던 것 같습니다.
오늘 들려드릴 곡도 그런 곡 중에 한 곡입니다.
듣자마자 '앗..이런 싸이키델릭!!' 이라는 탄성이 나올법한 곡입니다.

- 개인적 감상평
근래 Yukebox에서 추천드렸던 아티스트들 중에서 비슷한 느낌의 아티스트로는 'Skinshape'를 꼽을 수 있을 것 같습니다. 좌우로 왔다갔다 움직이는 듯한 신스 사운드, 찰랑거리는 듯한 드럼의 질감.. 그리고 전반적으로 촉촉하게 적셔진 리버브 사운드가 조화를 이루어서 특유의 싸이키델릭한 느낌을 잘 살리고 있습니다. 요즘에 찾아보기 힘든 스타일의 음악이라고 생각했는데 놀랍네요. Skinshape, Tame Impala 외에도 다른 선택지가 생긴 느낌입니다. ^^

이름부터 범상치 않은 이 밴드는, 2010년 호주 멜버른에서 결성된
싸이키델릭/프로그레시브/익스페리멘털 록 밴드입니다.
2020년 1월 현재까지 무려 14장의 정규앨범을 낸 베테랑 밴드입니다.
1년에 1장씩 앨범을 내는것도 쉽지 않은 작업인데 어떻게..? 라는 궁금증에
위키피디아를 검색해보니..
2017년 한 해에만 무려 다섯 장 의 정규앨범을 발매했었습니다! (헐..o.O;)

'이 분들은 새로운 음악들이 끊임없이 머리 속에서 샘솟는구나..' 싶은 생각이 들었습니다.
그런 생각이 틀리지 않았던 것이,
이들의 음악을 찾아서 들어보니
음악적 스펙트럼이 굉장히 넓었습니다.
싸이키델릭록 뿐만 아니라, 프로그레시브 록, 포크, 재즈, 소울, 심지어 헤비메탈까지..
정말 다양한 장르의 음악을 만들어내는 신기한 밴드였습니다.
wikipedia 페이지에 디스코그래피(발매 앨범들)는 잔뜩인데,
수상내역은 한 줄도 없는게 정말 믿겨지지 않았던 밴드입니다.
저도 더 탐구해봐야할 밴드이지만,
음악친구에게 추천받아 들었던 감동이 채 가시기 전에
여러분과 공유하고싶어서 이렇게 업로드해봅니다. ^^

오늘 업로드한 곡은 고작 네 곡인데다가,
아직 Jazz나 Soul풍의 노래들은 미처 다 들어보지도 못한 상황입니다.
정규 앨범만 14장이나 되는 밴드이니.. 아직 더 파봐야(?)겠습니다.
종종 이렇게 실력파 뮤지션을 새롭게 알게될 때면,
새로 공부할 것들이 생긴 것 같아서 음악적 호기심이 자극되는게 좋네요. ^^

사이키데릭 사운드의 찐득찐득한 음률이 온몸을 감쌉니다.
크.. 그 느낌을 아시는군요 ^^
록의 역사가 다른 장르에 비해 길지 않지만,
큰 틀 안에서 다양한 느낌의 음악들이 나오는 매력이 있는 장르 같습니다.
