뭔가 열심히 살고있다 라는 생각은 하고 있었지만, 시간은 정말 무심하게 흐르고 흘러 2020년의 1월도 벌써 다 지나가고 이제 2월의 두번째 날입니다.
주말들은 잘 보내셨나요? ^^
이제 다시 월요일이 찾아오지만,
지나간 주말에게 너무 서운해하지 마시고,

- 개인적 감상평
우선 감성넘치는 인트로가 인상적이었고,
(사람도 그렇듯이, '첫 인상'이 중요하다고 생각하는데, 전주도 없이 '와.. 좋다'라고 단번에 생각이 들게 만드는 흔치 않은 곡중에 한 곡이었습니다. ^^)
00:23 부터 나오는 종소리..
그리고 노래 전반적으로 깔리는 보코더 사운드에
시종일관 귀를 사로잡혀있었던 느낌입니다.
처음엔 '이게 뭐지?'라고 생각을 하기도 했던 사운드인데,
의외로 들을수록 중독성이 느껴지는 묘한 곡이네요. ^^
따뜻한 질감이 느껴지는 드럼 사운드에, 추억이 서린듯한 베이스, 일렉기타의 코드진행과 멜로디,
그리고 서정적인 보컬과 아쉬움이 담겨있는 가사의 조합이 정말 잘 어울리는 것 같습니다.
한줄평 : '힘을 내라는 말을 음악으로 전달하고 싶을 때, 추천하면 좋을듯한 감성적인 인디록.'

The duo began their career releasing an EP in 2014. The following year, they released a split with the band Loafer. Hovvdy released their debut album, Taster, in 2016. In 2018, Hovvdy released their second full-length album titled Cranberry. In 2019, the duo released a split with musician Hannah Read, known as Lomelda. The split found Hovvdy and Lomelda covering each others songs. The two also went on a summer tour to promote the split. The duo's third album, Heavy Lifter, was released in 2019.

2014년에 결성되었지만, 아직 인지도가 높지는 않은 얼터너티브 록, 인디 팝 밴드입니다.
얼마전에 있었던 그래미 시상식에서 제가 조용하게 덕질(?)을 하던 빌리 아일리시가 그래미상 싹쓸이를 하는 모습을 보면서 왠지 모를 뿌듯함이 느껴졌었는데, 그에 이어서 2020년에는 '추억'과 '갬성'을 노래하는 인디록/인디팝/베드룸팝 장르가 흥하기를 바랍니다. Hovvdy도 흥하기를 바라고요! ^^
