Two days ago I created a Kraken account in order to purchase Iconomi and EOS!
I have accounts both in Poloniex and Bittrex and I really like both platforms so far. Lately, I am trading mostly on Bittrex because it has more choices and I trust it more (Personal Opinion). Also I really love the buy-sell limits, the ability to use Fibonacci and so on.
Kraken, has fewer coins than both Poloniex and Bittrex , you will be able to trade only 18 coins! However it has coins that you will only find there, such as Iconomi and EOS! And they are both so amazing coins that you really need to have the option to buy them. (DYOR please)
So Lets Start:
Creating an account on Kraken is really easy, it will take less than 2 minutes to complete. When you complete the main info, you will have no ability to deposit fiat or any cryptocurrency, you need to get to Tier 1 at least in order to transfer BTC. You have the option to fill the information for Tier 2 and Tier 3 but that will take time to be approved (Its been 2 days so far, and no approval).
Once I finished creating the account I transferred bitcoin form Coinbase (35min) and I purchased my two coins (EOS and Iconomi). The first time I tried to navigate in the page I did got confused, it is more complicated than Poloniex and Bittrex (for me at least).
Also the graphs are awful, if you ask me. You do not have the ability to see candles or use tool on them. Just check the image bellow:
It took me about 5-10 min to figure the hall thing out, I was disconnected about 2-3 times and I got an error on my webpage a few more times. My trust to the site is lower than Poloniex and Bittrex but damn those two coins!
Pros:
- It has unique coins that you can not find in Poloniex or Bittrex
- Easy to sign up
Cons:
- Limited Coins
- Confusing
- Takes longer time than Poloniex and Bittrex to transfer coins (35 min in my case)
- No detailed graphs
Please share your thoughts on Bittrex and point out staff that I have forget to mention.
I have a heck of a time logging into Kraken. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Using the same login, password, and 2FA, it might work one time, but a couple hours later, says my login info is incorrect. This has happened more than once (several times). I never have problems with logging into Bittrex or Polo like I do with Kraken.
I will agree with you, it has a few issues to resolve. On my case I had no problem logging in but purchasing the coin or see the graph was a pain in the arse. I will try to stay away from it but I like some of its coins
i had the exact same problem when i registered, i could not login, it said incorrect info,, i could reset the password but again could not login.....this is really unreliable and support takes ages to respond to tickets...i am staying away from that exchange

The only reason I am in it its becasue of EOS and Iconomi
i love kraken, but now i'm using the cryptowatch mode to daily trade because it's less confusing.

STOPYou should also say that Kraken supports fiat currencies. You really cannot compare it to Polo or Trex because the latter do not accept fiat.
You did not find the graphs. Kraken provides three graph sections: Cryptowat.ch,, the one you showed (bid/ask spread and market depth), and TradingView (you need to click the image by each currency pair on top on the left)
