SHHHH...SECRET HIDDEN BATHS high in the Mexican Mountains!

Yep HUGE SECRET...and if you are ever North of Puerto Vallarta simply ask the locals and get yourself up there!

They call these steam baths the 'Agua Termales.' And this is one of the reasons the Aztecs settled in the Puerto Vallarta area. The fertile crops from the nearby volcanoes and the warm water that healed was pure and clean.

We honestly were expecting natural rock formations, a small river with steaming hot water.

But, we were blown away when we arrived!

Let me back up first because to get here we drove on cobblestone, dusty dirt, extremely bumpy roads to get here. So, we were not expecting ANYONE to be here! But, just the opposite happened...There were about 20 people there and 34 manmade baths!

AND NO ADDED CHLORINE! All NAT-UR-AL!!

See in the US and Canada, they have to put chlorine in, even if it's a small amount, but here in Mexico...less laws are to their benefit!

They simply drain the pools each night and fill them up the next day!

Each bath has it's own faucet to control how much hot water you wish to have in your pool. And if it's too full, it will simply overflow back into the stream.

Seem like they just subdivided the stream water through hoses to each bath!

The children loved every minute! Because there was such few people, they moved from pool to pool as the water temperatures were all a it different. Some really hot, some warm and some on the cool side!

It was peaceful, refreshing and an INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Haha! Thank you...sorry for the late reply. My kids were very sick, so Steemit took a backseat for about a week!
