25 Illustrations show Life is so Much Different From a Few Decades Ago

in #latest6 years ago

How old are you, in your 30’s, 40’s, 50’s? If you belong to any of those age groups, you probably feel this article a little more than younger generations. Me, I’m in my early twenties and I can still relate to these images (on a lighthearted kind of level, they aren’t meant to be taken too seriously).

Here are 25 illustrations that go to show life changed very rapidly in the past few decades.

Back in the day, people still had an inbox full of spam. The person who created this illustration must have been referring to way back in the day.

Remember, the man on the left isn’t necessarily a “man” either. He’s certainly got more masculine features, but what are the distinguishing characteristics of a man? A man protects and provides for his family and stands up for his people, regardless of their physical appearance.

alt

True: people are getting together in person less often now.

alt

This one completely misses the point. Vaccines now are much, much more of a danger than they ever have been, but most people are oblivious. Except for the family members of people who have been killed or almost killed by vaccines.

alt

Wow, this illustration was made 7 years ago. We’re really getting old. What’s so bad about being pregnant and starting a family if you really care for your family? Why is getting a career working for other people who don’t care about you so important?

alt

Is this some kind of nanny state rule of public school now, that you can’t share things because they believe it might be dangerous?

alt

It creates so much mental clutter to have the possibilities of taking a selfie or whatever it is filling the mind when you’re trying to focus. Focus is majorly disrupted by social media in this day and age.

alt

That’s no joke.. and Hollywood has a bizarre agenda.

alt

People must find ways to be resilient these days, to forces that may make them malleable and docile. Video games certainly aren’t at the top of the list but for some people they are a factor.

alt

Don’t you still blast music out your speakers or watch movies with your family? Just continue to do it anyway, make the right decision.

alt

This one is an actually matter of convenience with no consequence. It’s nice to not have to talk to people on the phone all the time.

alt

Some people are excessively skinny these days too. Did you know that diabetes can make people really skinny as well?

alt
Totally defeats the purpose.

alt

If you work a job you like, you might be able to stay up late at night and be satisfactory with your nocturnal sleep schedule.

alt

Smart phones and selfies ruin everything.

alt

People were tricked into believing McDonalds was some kind of treat? I remember that..

alt

I guess this has been going on forever.

alt

Kids don’t have office chairs and desks!

alt

This is a slightly funnier version of the above cartoon with the television.

alt

Here’s a secret: there’s a practical reason for why people sag their pants. It’s strategic.

alt

I lost track of what games exist years ago. What games do people even play these days?

alt

And when this cartoon was made, that was when cell phones still looked like that.

alt

Green screens are fun if you have some video software and a camera.

alt

Nice, plastic Android phone screens don’t shatter.

alt

Notice how it’s still all the same old tired movies? Why does television continuously replay old movies over and over while nothing original is made that is new? Original new films actually are being made, away from Hollywood.

alt

The truth is, we’re rapidly changing and with all this rapid technological and social change, there’s an enormous, catastrophic potential for our civilian class of people to be manipulated.

When the ways we live life are rapidly altered, and we become more willing to accept drastic changes in our lives, things can get ugly.

People would be well advised to strongly, firmly live their lives how they want, not fiending for the next new thing or trying to derive too much satisfaction from other things.
