I’m currently learning Italian on Duolingo, inspired by my unforgettable travels to Italy over two consecutive summers. My first trip was to the iconic, historic, and breathtaking city of Rome, where I fell in love with its rich culture and ancient landmarks. The following year, I explored the vibrant yet gritty charm of Naples, with unforgettable day trips to the picturesque Sorrento, the ancient ruins of Pompeii, the stunning Amalfi Coastline, and even a hike up Mount Vesuvius. Learning Italian is my way of staying connected to these incredible experiences and deepening my appreciation for Italy’s diverse beauty.

I would love to add Spanish to it, but I think it will be a complete brain overload. I already struggle with Italian.

Are you diving into the exciting world of learning a new language? Whether it’s mastering Spanish, French or exploring something unique like Japanese, I’d love to hear about your journey! What language are you learning, and what tools or apps are you using to accomplish your goals? Drop your stories and experiences in the comments below, and let’s inspire each other!

Thanks for reading.

I've been wanted to learn Japanese but the method I started with didn't mesh well with me.. I managed to memorise the basics of hiragana but that's about it, just didn't end up being able to stay interested in it.

I should probably try give duolingo a try. I pretty much always have my phone on me and I'm most interested in learning spoken Japanese first and foremost, I think the written language will stick better after that.

I'm currently learning Japanese and french and Duolingo too, the Japanese is getting quite tough for me, but french is much easier because I did little french during my basic school years. I have a 37 days streak. i wanted to do something new and different for the last half of the year that's why I started learning on Duolingo

Keep up the streak, consistency compounds over time. I've reach 100 days streak a few days back for learning Chinese but I'm struggling to keep the streak now, sometimes I do totally forget about it until it's almost midnight :(
