AFFIRMATION OF THE DAY:
I trust in my ability to overcome any financial setback.

TAROT CARD OF THE DAY:
Five of Pentacles.

Embrace the resilience and determination of the five of pentacles as you affirm, 'I trust in my ability to overcome any financial setback'. This card can represent temporary financial challenges, but it also reminds us of our inner strength and capacity to rise above adversity. Sometimes when we are struggling financially or experience poverty in some other aspect of our lives, focusing too much on the lack actually makes the problem worse; you are unable to see the nearby help being offered. Do not cut yourself off from support or assistance. This affirmation aligns with the more positive interpretation of this card, and is here to remind you of your ability to overcome anything, no matter how daunting it may seem. Much like the figures in the card who are walking through the cold, this period in your life may be filled with material difficulties or a lack of resources. However, the five of pentacles teaches us that you have the strength to persevere. We all possess the inner fortitude to endure and eventually triumph over challenges. Trust in your resilience and resourcefulness, and recognize that setbacks are opportunities for growth, transformation and gratitude. Facing financial difficulties with courage and determination means that you will emerge stronger on the other side. With the right frame of mind, any financial setback can be turned into stepping stones and the chance for change and reassessment leading toward a more secure and prosperous future.

TAROT TIP #23

Especially when it comes to the rider waite deck, it can be helpful to look beyond the literal imagery and take in some of the details that are intended to have a more metaphorical meaning. There are deeper messages hidden in plain sight on all 78 cards but some of the ones that are most often misinterpreted are the five of pentacles and also the death and devil cards. They do not directly foretell poverty, illness, homelessness, physical death or violence and opression. When you take a closer look at the artwork there are hints that things are not as bad as they may seem. On the five of pentacles you can see the warm glow coming from a window in a place of refuge, and on the death card you see the dawn of a new day from the same pillars depicted on the moon card. On the devil card the couple is often thought to be loosely chained and they will be able to break away at any moment of their choosing. When you take the time to look deeper, there really are no negative cards.
