How to Solve Ledger Manager and Bitcoin App Not Syncing in Problem in Chrome

Note : This article is for Ledger Nano S advanced users or have known the basics of using it. Some terms won't be explained.

If you have a ledger nano S. There are those times when you get stuck and feel .. Oh no.. Oh shit...
What's happened ? Why cant it sync..

Currently there is LedgerLive stand alone application so you dont have to depend on Chrome anymore. But for some they are just accustom to do it the old fashion way. But encounter problems.

First of all don't panic. Your coins are safe. But there is just a problem in accessing them. You cant send them to exchange when you want to sell them.

So.. You have connected your ledger and input your PIN number .. then you have opened the Ledger Manager or bitcoin App in Chrome. But why is it not syncing meaning showing the last screen not the app screen as if the ledger is undetected. Can this be a USB problem. In some cases it could be.

On the other hand if you use your ledger nano with the Ripple App things are OK (you can access, send or recieve), you use the Neo app its working fine too. Same goes to using MEW, things are OK. This confirms that your USB hardware in your laptop/PC is just fine.

But when you want to access the Ledger Manager to delete apps to switch to other coin app or access the major coin BTC. The BTC app wont open.

Don't worry. There is a solution for this. It sounds funny and simple. But it works. Here it goes.

All you have to do is just right click your calender app in Windows, change the date to One day prior to this day that means yesterday. For example : today is Jan 10th 2019. Just set it to Jan 9th 2019.

Then...walla.. it syncs and your in relief.

Hope this article is usefull. I'll write more articles in tips and tricks around the crypto space according to my experience in this space.

You have a minor misspelling in the following sentence:

On the other hand if you use your ledger nano with the Ripple App things are OK (you can access, send or recieve), you use the Neo app its working fine too.
It should be receive instead of recieve.
