(Seoul = News 1) Reporter Seo Moon-sam = Former Prime Minister Han Deok-soo, who is suspected of participating in former President Yoon Suk Yeol's insurrection, also made a statement on the 22nd by the special prosecutor's team (special prosecutor Cho Eun-seok) to the effect that he had received a declaration of emergency martial law from former President Yoon.

The special prosecution team is actively considering requesting an arrest warrant for former Prime Minister Han in consideration of the seriousness of the crime and concerns about the destruction of evidence.
According to the legal community on the 24th, the independent counsel team confirmed this position to former Prime Minister Han again in the third suspect investigation, which took place for 13 hours from 9:30 a.m. to 10:57 p.m. on the 22nd.
The independent counsel team believes that the prime minister's duty to assist the president under the constitution is to assist the president to run the country in accordance with the constitution and laws, not individuals. This means that former prime minister Han was obliged to check and block former President Yoon's arbitrary behavior.

In the meantime, former Prime Minister Han came to the National Assembly after the lifting of the emergency martial law and claimed, "I have never received a martial law document at the State Council." However, in the second suspect investigation on the 19th, he reversed his previous position by stating, "I received a declaration of emergency martial law directly from former President Yoon."

The special prosecution team is also looking into how it wrote and abolished the declaration of martial law after the lifting of the emergency martial law to cover up procedural defects.
Former Prime Minister Han is accused of signing and requesting that former President Yoon and former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, respectively, be scrapped on Dec. 5 last year in a document falsely written by Kang Gu, former deputy chief of the presidential office, after the emergency martial law.

He is also suspected of obstructing the vote of lawmakers by speaking to Choo Kyung-ho, then floor leader of People's Power, ahead of the National Assembly's vote on the resolution to lift martial law at around 11:12 p.m. on the day of martial law.
Legal experts predict that the special prosecution team, which has settled the allegations through several summonses, will seek an arrest warrant from the court as early as soon as possible to secure former Prime Minister Han's whereabouts.

The special prosecution team believes that former Prime Minister Han's allegations, such as his involvement in writing false official documents and perjury to the National Assembly and impeachment trials, are related to the fear of destroying evidence and the seriousness of the crime is high.

The fact that someone holding the position of Prime Minister continued to lie and deceive the public—only to reverse his own words and desperately try to save himself when punishment looms—is truly disgraceful.
This situation confirms that we have absolutely no reason to support people like them.
If this person was considered the most qualified among them to serve as Prime Minister, we must not forget that this is the level we're dealing with.
They are nothing more than a self-serving group far beneath the standards of the people.
Let’s stop recognizing and supporting anti-state forces and traitorous organizations as legitimate political groups.
