Cho Kuk, former leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, expressed his position that if the Democratic presidential candidate is decided by a letter from prison, he should think that he is an Innovation Party candidate and help him.
In a prison letter released by the party, former leader Cho wrote, "It is clear that the Cho Kuk Innovation Party is taking a more progressive and reformative line in terms of vision and policy, but this difference is not important in the presidential election with less than 50 days left," adding, "If the Democratic Party candidate decides, let's think it's Cho Kuk Innovation Party candidate, cheer and help."
"Let's take the lead in taking the flag of the Innovation Party and commit more sincerely and passionately to change power than the Democratic Party members, and this is the way for the Republic of Korea and the Innovation Party," Cho said, adding, "Now let's end the winter republic and gather all our energy to advance the spring of the Republic of Korea."
Regarding the fact that the Cho Kuk Innovation Party decided not to field its own candidates after a vote by the party committee and a general vote of party members, he also said, "The party committee and its members made a wise decision with an overwhelming majority opinion, considering the importance of the current challenges and the party's capabilities."
