"Kim (local) has been interrogated dozens of times a month by Yoon Suk Yeol prosecutors for three years. But would there be anything to destroy evidence?"
While Park Jung-hoon, a member of the People's Power, raised suspicions that Kim Hyun-ji, the first deputy chief of the president's office, replaced his mobile phone twice on the start of the parliamentary audit, Kim Ji-ho, a spokesman for the Democratic Party of Korea, strongly refuted the allegation and dismissed it as "shameless footwork."
Representative Park claimed at a press conference at the National Assembly on the 20th, "As a result of the analysis of KT data, Chief Kim replaced the iPhone 14 with the iPhone 17 at 10:36 a.m. on October 13, the first day of the parliamentary inspection, and then restored it to the original device in 9 minutes."
He raised the possibility of destroying evidence, saying that Chief of Staff Kim replaced his mobile phone at every judicial risk of President Lee Jae-myung.
The Minjoo Party immediately refuted the allegations. "Kim never replaced his mobile phone before the parliamentary inspection," spokesman Kim Ji-ho said. "Park should be held responsible for conspiring to conspire against public officials."
Spokesperson Kim explained that Kim recently received a text message from the agency to change the new device after the contract period ended, but he has yet to replace the device because he is busy with his work and has never changed his USIM.
In addition, he refuted the suspicion of changing the number in 2021, which Rep. Park claimed, saying, "Chief Kim has been using the same number for decades, and has never changed the number at that time." Chief Kim says there is no reason to destroy evidence because he has been communicated dozens of times over three years by the prosecution of the Yoon Suk Yeol.
Don't insult anyone who is committed to public service, as you are people who support the Yoon Suk Yeol who caused a civil war by falling into the conspiracy theories of far-right politicians, and if Rep. Park Jeong-hoon wants the truth, keep spreading false conspiracy theories. We will cover up the truth and hold them accountable through accusations," spokesman Kim Ji-ho said.

"I honestly don’t know how many more lies they need to tell before they finally wake up.
They just say whatever comes to mind, and if it’s wrong—oh well.
I guess that’s what they call politics."
