I'll meet you here in exactly one year, and you can give it to me at that time."Then he turned around and disappeared as quickly as he appeared.
The businessman saw in his hand a check for $500,000 signed by John D. Rockefeller, at that time one of the richest men in the world!
I can do away with your problems in an instant! - thought he. But instead, the entrepreneur decided to put a cashless check in his safe. The mere thought of his existence gave him the strength to work out a way to keep his business.
With renewed optimism, he concluded profitable deals and extended payment terms. He managed to make a few big sales. Within a few months, he emerged from debt and began to earn money.
Exactly a year later, he returned to the Park with that cashless check. In the agreed time, the old man appeared again. And at the moment when the entrepreneur wanted to return the check and share his success story ran up the nurse and grabbed the old man. I'm so glad I caught him! she exclaimed. - I hope he didn't bother you. He always runs away from the house, and said that he was John Rockefeller.
Surprised, the businessman just stood there stunned. Throughout the year, he was spinning and doing business buying and selling, convinced that he had half a million dollars.
Suddenly he realized that it wasn't money, real or imaginary, that turned his life around. It was his new confidence that gave him the strength to achieve everything he now has.
You have to take the lead and play your game. Confidence plays a decisive role at a crucial moment.
