COVID19 Crisis changes

in #life4 years ago

Hi,

I see also some good shifts with the crisis. One important, on personal level is that my wife is more conscious about money and doesn't buy all things that she thinks we need.

I explained her that we need to save money for dark days and future opportunities. Second hand market is dead now. Everyone is trying to sell now, to avoid the dip. I've got my company car so we don't need another one. If we find one that has a good resell price, we will definitely buy it, just for a flip. Maybe not immediately, but we will put it for sure on a higher price and only renew the add till it is sold.

We changed a lot in our behavior. What we did not manage to change in the 5 years since we are together, we changed now. We eat now mostly bio-food. We have a budget for food and we stick to it also with buying bio. We don't eat that much as before, but we eat healthier, which is a good improvement.

As I'm not allowed to travel we manage to spent a long needed time together. We see it as a longer holiday as I work mostly from home.

Another benefit is that we are doing the much needed house improvements. We get rid of a lot of stuff that we don't need.

It is like an optimization phase for the things that have been put on hold.

Of course we need to be very cautious, as the times are harsh and it can hit us anytime. We prepare like said before, for the worst, save as much as we can and invest it into assets like bitcoin, gold and silver. We try to buy as much as we can afford. If there is going to be an inflationary period this will be a safe heaven.
