Anime (ア ニ メ?, [Anime] (δείτε)) [a] είναι ένα animation από την Ιαπωνία που σχεδιάστηκε με το χέρι καθώς και με την τεχνολογία των υπολογιστών. Η λέξη anime σημαίνει "animation" στα αγγλικά, η οποία αναφέρεται σε όλους τους τύπους κινούμενων εικόνων. [1] Εκτός της Ιαπωνίας, ο όρος χρησιμοποιείται ειδικά για να αναφέρει όλα τα κινούμενα σχέδια που παράγονται στην Ιαπωνία.
