We recently had visits from several local media. We seized this opportunity to promote the blockchain technology in the surrounding area. In addition to their interest in this new technology, there is also the fact we are re-making history here, let me brievely explain ;-)
The village of Gondo (Switzerland) where we are settled, was previously an important place of gold mining. From the 16th century until the end of the 19th, many people came to try this adventure. It was literally the golden age of this town with the largest number of human being it has ever counted.
However after the fading of this activity, the population dropped radically by -80% and the village did not seem to have a future until the arrival of 2.0 miners, in the summer 2017.
Fate wanted that 1 century later, the arrival of crypto-currencies often compared to digital gold, brought a new breath to this ancient mining town.
