Life's story. Chapter 2. 4am.

in #life2 years ago

Drake was thinking about his mutations developed during the Awakening time. He never told anyone about his ability to read future and change his skin texture or about his skills to control cells; to control others. Drake was alone again. But that was the advise. Take some time off and restructure the patterns. How could he do that? Awakening forced them to use mind control over the alien forces. Something almost impossible. His missions proved impossible wrong. It was happening. But it took a toll on them after the others left.
Drake used to read about faith and gods. It was obvious that these old stories contradicted each other and made no sense for science craving children. But when Drake was reading them, when he was little, everything sounded so profoundly and was full of depth. It took him to gaining powers in science and technology. It became background noise in his ears. His wife Darrin sometimes was telling her blood lines stories. Now Darinn came back from the Tower. She sat on the edge of the bed, started watching him while he was still asleep. His skin was shiny and his face was telling of his heart's sadness. Darinn touched his arm and Drake woke up.
-Would you love me if we never met? -Darrin was curiously looking into his eyes. Dark blue eyes filled with sorrow and sadness.
-That's completely possible-said Drake- I could love your ideal in my dreams. But its like looking at the waves and never swim with or against them. Sometimes I feel I'm unable to fully trust. Does it mean I can't love? Its just my senses are, you know, more cautious. Too quickly I became an orphan. Too soon I gave into you. It should be forbidden to love so fast.
-Are you saying love can be forbidden?
-Of course. Rules are as strong as they were under Tosks. And these rules of good and evil allowed them to bring all dimensions together, separate the void and defeat the Elders. It all was downloaded from the universe. Can we do it again in the future ? Is it worth it?

  • You're tired and stressed. But trust in what I'm saying: life will be bright again. Sometimes , when I'm in bed still fully awake at 4 am I imagine our energies supporting life force and returning to our unlimited potentials. It's like memory I can't erase from my head. So what I do each day gives me appreciation of the power of love. I think we are invincible through love and it's the only thing that can save us. In all dimensions.
The awakening started and took over the world for long months. Tosks, now Irims received the gift of clarity and stopped worshiping Rory. Unfortunately hidden alien forces used their best ships and the most experienced troops in their battles . Their tactics included using electric clouds and storms against the Irims. Earthquakes and rains of fire falling on terrified colonies out of the sudden. But they failed at the end. Rory was not prepared for such a great impact , for such an awakening .Elders wanted Irims to pay for daring to live in the name of past and future, to pay the highest price even though they won the Awakening battle. Becoming aware of their own destiny forced Tosks to remember their past and Toskan colony dazzling at them from the deep space. They needed Drake powers more than ever.

Seleka's grandfather Quebec became a dust on the slopes of Snowy Hill decades ago. It was a sign for me that what's bad and hateful might return. It was a price to pay for the generations of mutants that were born from their bones, feeding themselves with the story of great Tosks and deceitful Elders. Freedom was awaiting. At what cost? Mutants considered themselves the race of the future, ready to face challenges of intergalactic travels and constant expansions . Rory's existence in the substance was noticed by Irims. And Irims decided to prevent the agony of fellow brothers and sisters and stop the end .

  • Joddayah!
-Hello my friend. I haven't seen you here yet. This was my spot.
Varsel was looking at me with a big smile on his face. I was following him here. Like I followed his father and grandfather decades ago. He could not know they were coming to this place too but his genes memory brought him here finally a few weeks back. It was his third visit to the Sky Gardens. The gardens used to covered by war ash and flesh, now -shining in the light and blossoming in blues, violets and pinks. The gardens of hidden traps, reincarnated into the most beautiful fountains, flowers and trees.
-I don't believe in coincidence, Varsel. I think I was meant to pass through this area to meet you. To tell you a story.
    -Please, go ahead.
-As far as I can remember, our search for a meaning is what defines us. Resilience, strength of character. Crossing universes and expansion. Our purpose is not to survive anymore but to build, create and grow. But long time ago, there were different races on the lands we live now. We've called them " the Others". Some of us call them also Giants. Their Kings created colonies here. Itral and later his son-Heronemil were the most famous of their kings. Their powers created distortions in the land and air and, after long reigns- the planet collapsed. Various frequencies were used to keep its structure but nothing could reverse the process. Some claim the starry cities were downloading the planet's energy so much it couldn't exist any longer. Others blame sudden frequencies changes for what happened. Constant opening and closing of intergalactic portals. And there were those who claimed Giants disobedience costed them their colony.
    -What's your opinion?
-If the story is true, I believe it's all of the above. You've heard about the Time of Silence, my friend? The time after the collapse. The time that Tosks supposedly " survived" .
    -Who hasn't ?
-That's right: who hasn't. What if I tell you then that the hope and future was in the seeds collected before Giants interstellar migration. The seeds that returned two centuries later and spread over this territory. The seeds of us. We survived only because we weren't here. The cities and ways had to be built again..

Joddayah continued his story. He told Varsel about things he never dared to tell anyone. About Azaur's prophecies on the upcoming Time of Dream, Namun's great spell and dimensions crossings. He told him about planets who were startships hung in the space and about Elders. About secret rituals in Shiny Caves ( used to called Namun's Caves) and guardians of the Key. Guardians of the Key. He knew that Varsel will become one.
