Some days ago, I started my series about explaining color energy, the forgotten gift of nature. In part 1 I showed how we absorb colors physically and the forgotten remedies used ages ago.

In this part, I would like to explain in detail the different colors and their character. At first I would like to focus on specific colors, that are vital for our body and that are connected to the main chakra system (the seven main chakras) of our body. In the next part, I plan to explain the detailed effect on the chakras and thus the body.

From a physical point of view, color is an electromagnetic oscillation with a specific frequency and can thus act on the cell via the eye or the skin and digestive system. But color can also unfold its very specific effect through one's own personal imagination of course. The ability of a person to visualize. Every color has its own quality, symbolism and precise effect.

Each color can be attributed to positive, affirmative and negative qualities and effects. Which meaning we give to a certain color, depends absolutely on the respective culture, to which we belong. Without any doubt, color has a significant effect not only on our psyche.

Let's see what secrets color hold,

let's decode color now:

white1.png

WHITE

White is not a color but contains all colors in itself. The true character of white could be described best with the rainbow. White is associated with light and brightness. White is characterized with absolute mental clarity, but also with physical and mental innocence, purity, divine knowledge. But on the other side also with absolute - mental and physical - emptiness.

An excessive identification with white leaves often no room for one's own individuality. Imagine a room filled with all colors of the rainbow.

SILVER

Silver is also no color. It can be seen much more as a cold reflection. Its character is associated with the moon, past, unconscious and passivity

gold.png

GOLD

Gold is as well not a color. It can also be seen as a reflection. A warm reflection. In most cultures it’s character is associated with the wisdom of God, with the sun, harmony, future, and activity

Pink-gold or red-gold color is the color that symbolizes our new age. Here the unconditional love (Light Rose/Pink) combines with the divine wisdom (Gold). Freedom is the basis for loving communication on all levels.

indi.png

INDIGO

Indigo (blue with a small amount of red) is in many ways the antagonist of orange. It inhibits the thyroid gland and stimulates the parathyroid gland. Indigo calms the breathing and also calms, dampens and reduces excitability.

The color indigo helps with mental exhaustion. This particular color can promote intuition and sensitivity. But indigo can also lead to introversion.

Indigo stands also for extrasensory perception and for the profound power of thought. It is very powerful also in meditation. The character of Indigo color could also symbolize fixed ideas, melancholy, hermitage and sometimes even hermitage.

vio.png

VIOLET

Violett is the highest vibration of light. With the combination of red color and blue color, two extreme emotional opposites unite in violet.

Like earth and heaven violet embodies the unity of opposites and is therefore also a color of moderation. Violett is a healing color especially with regards to mental balance.

The strong preference for violet shows a sensitive, but sometimes also elitist person. Like the danger of losing oneself in fantasy worlds, the detached spirituality does not want to be confronted with reality.

Violett is for sure one of the most magical colors. The color of change or even the color of magic. Expressions associated with the color violet are often the change, fantasy, magic, departure, purification, intuition, transformation, delusion, and spirituality.

blue.png

BLUE

Blue is the color of the deepening with the least sensual but on the other hand the strongest mental color stimulus. Psychologically, blue is the color of introversion.

Blue is the color of prudence or calm. Its power is thus the concentration on the essential. Blue is connected with the element earth. Blue is the color of permanence and as well as of the reason. In blue, here the solid and secure bound manifests itself. Blue stands for the concentration on the most essential. The color blue helps with mental exhaustion, soothes impatient and overexcitable people.

Bright-blue color (blue mixed with a little white) shows deep communication. It shows also a deep communication with oneself, a selfless prayer; or having found peace in oneself

Thus resulting in the increased preoccupation with the needs of fellow human beings. The complete rejection of light blue color could be interpreted as a sign of inner restlessness and the inability to communicate deeply, also with oneself.

Ultramarine-blue color stands for logical, rational, clearly comprehensible thinking; the power to control feelings; no waste of energy.

Blue-green color (Blue mixed with a little green) symbolizes total tranquillity but could also be connected with listlessness.

Azure-blue color (blue proportionate green) embodies the peace in which something new can develop and the ability to persevere. It shows the respect to something slow unfolding. Acceptance.

Turquoise color (Green mixed with a little blue color) symbolizes the ego. Physically the place where the thymus gland is located and is connected to the thymus chakra. Turquoise also stands for inwardly directed exchange.

green.png

GREEN

Green is the color of balance and harmony. Green color energy is situated in the middle between the red and violet end of the color spectrum. Green is therefore neither a warm nor a cold color.

Green color energy embodies the vibrancy of joy and serenity of yellow as well as the inner peace and depth of blue. Green is associated with the element of water. Green is the always present passive basis that promotes all growth.

This color symbolizes security that comes from the nourishing element of water. Green color supports solidity, calm and neutrality. With pure harmony, green color energy inspires peace and harmony. Green calms down and strengthens exhausted nerve.

Light-green color (green mixed with a little white) symbolizes the ability of acceptance and opening up to the environment and the cosmos, green helps to approach others. It is the energy of oneness with all beings.

Sea-green color (green proportionate blue) shows the desire for change and for transformation. It is associated with the detachment from the material or also getting to the bottom of things. Sea-green color is promoting insights through abstract thinking.

pink.png

LIGHT ROSE / PINK

Light rose/pink color is generally and mainly composed of red and white and is the more subtle quality of red. Pink is the color of human love that has taken on an unselfish character, like love for a partner or love for one's own children. The Pink color is sometimes also the color for a lack of self-love. An extensive love of pink could be explained as the needs of fellow human beings are given a higher value than one's own.

yellow.png

YELLOW

Yellow color is a very old color symbol due to its divine connection with the sun. It is connected with spirit and intellect. The Yellow color energy is associated with freedom, movement or lightness. Yellow represents information in the broadest sense. Yellow cleans the mind and symbolizes the free spirit, the free thinker as well as freedom par excellence.

Warm-yellow (yellow color with a little red) is the color of life, sun yellow means rays, is joy in itself, objective communication for the sake of exchange.

Bright-yellow (yellow color with a little white) has a very inspiring effect! As life is consciously identified with spiritual principles it also stands for the effort to remain in balance with the help of the mind.

An aversion to yellow can indicate an unconscious fear of looking deeper into oneself. Thus avoiding a clear mind or a needed decision that has to be taken. A lack of yellow is an indication of fear of the new. I also could show therefore a lack of joie de vivre and sometimes the first sign of depression.

oragne.png

ORANGE

Orange color is a mixed color that includes two powerful energies, yellow and red color. It combines vital red color energy with yellow mental energy. But in orange without the strong sexual emphasis of red and the pure intellectuality of yellow.

Orange is a kind of mediator between reality-based action - red color energy - and the free spirit - yellow color energy. Thus becomes action. But very often also only communication without depth. Orange is the light and also stands for the pleasant side of life.

red.png

RED

Red color and red color energy as the color of blood is the color of life. It symbolizes the deepest human passions. It stands for love and hate or courage and revenge. Red color energy qualities are warm to hot. The vibration and the effect of red is stimulating. Sometimes in high qualities even exciting.

A rejection of red can be interpreted as an indication of a lack of vitality.

A deep connection to mother earth, a root bringing us down to earth in a sense is best described with the color energy of red.

Thank you very much for your kind feedback, have a wonderful week!

I'm getting some deja vue regarding articles I've read on TV tropes... it seems many of the concepts being associated with specific colors is very deeply ingrained.

I have a fantasy story I've been working on for a while, and as part of the structuring the magic system I devised a color scheme to attach to the different types. I then associated some personality traits with them, and it's almost weird how much those seemingly unconscious decisions I made for those magic types(which I actually did before the color assignment, if I remember correctly) line up with your descriptions of the respective colors. Very interesting, indeed.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and comment @rhethypo, this is very very interesting for me. When I started to work with colors I noticed how much "color energy - system - influence" in diverse systems there is in almost every culture of the world.

This is a chakra color chart found at grippz.com - as you can see the "hierarchy" used in many systems, also magical or alchemistical or "others" is always like "highest" level white or indigo and bottom level red.

This is very interesting indeed, there are also "hierarchy" systems where according to this "ranking" gems associated with the colors are used. Some even corrupted this gift of nature for own purposes and goals, e.g. not only in marketing and sales. Unfortunately, every most precious gift can be turned into something to influence the people ... ughhhhh.

that's wild to think about how it expresses itself without us even knowing!!! it's just a part of us - and out it comes!

in art, in writing, in fashion, in interior design.... we surround ourselves with the colors that speak to us!

Yes definitely, it is all around us and I think it is most important to know about the effect it has on all of us.

It affects me so deeply!!! it actually makes my mouth water when i see a really beautiful shade!!!! explain that??? LOLOLOL like i can feel the coolness of ice in my mouth and i want to just drink it all in!
