RE: Even unintentionally, we are gradually building the meaning of our lives.

Stephen Hawkings is definitely one smart but also a man of humour haha. I agree that we have to look at the stars and aim towards them as we work laboriously to strive towards our goals but first, we need to build our self-worth and self-confidence.

There is one way of thinking that people follow is that that we are born without worth and must spend a lifetime accumulating it. The work and effort you put in starts to keep building and building this beautiful structure.

However, due to this, we are constantly comparing ourselves to our environment trying to evaluate the worth of things in the desperate hope that if we can determine the worth of something maybe we can use it to enhance our own self-worth but I think this is a good thing to have a need for something and working harder to reach it.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful quote @lastminuteman. Glad that I could catch you. I just finished my post for the day and I was about to go to sleep. Upvoted.
I hope you have a great weekend! :)

Thank you for the comment @arckrai !

It's always a pleasure to read you because you bring interesting concepts.

I have trouble with the idea we are born without worth, because only in the eyes of our parents or creator we should have worth. Also in a metaphysical sense, it may be that we already have an intrasic worth before birth, if we give the possibility that each of us has a unique essence before and after death (immortal).

It seems to me that the comparison is fundamental in the construction of one's own identity. But it must not stop at a differential but also analogical comparison, because it is particularly in analogies that we can find the keys to the unity and reunification of men.

And of course, one important thing is to find an activity that animates us and in which we can flourish.

Thank you for this time of reflection.

I hope you had a great weekend too ;)
