VIN plus Arcadia, the second addition to Vin plus Wine and Beyond family, is conveniently located in the Plaza Senayan complex, at the heart of Jakarta’s central business district, offering a glimpse into the sophisticated world of wine with over 500 wine selections from all over the world.
I have for long wanted to test out Vin plus Arcadia, yesterday I did, What a suprice this was with a cozy wine celler experience where basically all tables was sourrunded with the world of wines, The best suprice was the staff knowledge about the various wines, year etc. In other words, if you are in the mood for a genuine wine experience and little hungry, I highly recommend this wine oaisis in Jakarta.
The atmosphere is pretty awesome in this place. A new restaurant, Vin plus has invited the countryside feels out of place with a heavy wooden tables and low light, definitely a great atmosphere for our dinner. especially our waiter Dancing, which friendly and attentive throughout our dinner.
We went there just after dinner to enjoy a glass of wine in a quiet place and it was perfect for this purpose. It's a bit out of the crowd of the city center by being just 5 minutes from there. The place is really beautiful and calm and they offer the biggest choice of wines I had opportunity to see during my stay. I found really strange that no wine by glass appeared on their menu / lists however it was just the matter of asking and they offered some. Will go back if I have opportunity and give a try to their food this time...
They have always interesting wine that I would never pick in other restaurants due to price and not sure about the quality, But there since the price is really fair and having the advice of the manager its worth to jump and try.
We had dinner here on our first night, an impressive looking place, great indoor/outdoor dining, lots of choice on the menu for food and vino. Great quality tasty food!
It would be interesting to know if it has any South African wines on offer?
