Decaying Souls
We all know that everything decays with time, everything tends to fall if we set em free. Exactly this way, if we set our souls free to room in this cruel world, they will decay towards evil. Prophet Muhammad(Peace be upon him and his family) warned us that the line between good and bad will be erased in the last times(End of this world). This is happening now, the evil has spread everywhere, there is no morality left. In fact, bad has become good and good has now become bad.
Hidden Evil(Pride)
Inside us
we have a world inside us, where we are either kings or may be slaves? We can see evil clearly, we can easily identify it in others but, can we find the inside evil? Can we kill that evil? If we can then, we are the kings otherwise we are just the slaves of that hidden evil.
Problem Identification
We must go back and check the purpose behind everything, if the purpose is fulfilled it should be fine and if the purpose isn't fulfilled it's just a waste. Let's start with some simple examples, why do we wear clothes? What's the purpose behind it? just to cover our body or as protection from the harsh weather. Then why do we use a lot of expense on just fashion thing? This is just because we wanna show off our wealth and our fake glamorous personality. We wanna feel that we are better, we are superior while others are inferior to us, which ultimately grows pride. Another example just to make it a bit clear, Why do we post the best selfie(with finest dresses, with best food if it's a food selfie, took at an expensive, luxurious place & edited as well :P) on social media rather than just posting a random one? Actually we all wanna look more than what and who we are, we wanna look superior than everyone around. Although we all know that,
We are actually being manipulated by the inside evil, we all know the basics very well but, we just follow the trends. The lack of practical implementation of those basics have caused us to be who we are now.
What's the resistance to the change?
The change doesn't occur because of following reasons.
We don't want a change just because this isn't of any materialistic interest to us, we have just applied "don't cares".
We always prefer laziness over activeness, we don't bother to put an effort, required to cause the change.
We wanna change but, we are also afraid of that change, we don't wanna take actions so we just keep talking.
Solution
We should stop following trends, we shouldn't forget the basics. We should start thinking about our each and every action and should start finding the purpose behind everything. We should stop pretending to be what and who we are not and should stop exaggerating the reality. Stop please, we have already wasted a lot of energy on just worthless, stupid materialistic races, let's invest those energies to purify our souls!

We also hurt the environment with such insistence on trends and fashion, producing so much that will eventually become garbage. Humans act in “evil” ways when they believe there is not enough (sometimes their experiences will encourage this and so it’s more understandable) and when they fail to trust others and see the common spark among all living things. When they can truly see the spark, they can call it god or magic, they will not do “evil”.
Agreed, every human being needs the concept of God or the day of Judgement to stand against evil.
