The culprit of the story:
I, for one, don’t care so much for the coffee cup. Yes of course a nice cup does add some charm and a comfy feeling. But what I’m pickier about is how the coffee is made.
Besides coffee the only thing I drink is water. So yes … not saying I will refuse a cup if it’s not made my way but I look on them a bit derogative. Coffee from a machine, a bag, the ones served in a bar, etc. all fall under the same category for me – wannabe coffee. Turkish way is the only true way for me.
Though there are some variations on how to make it (especially if you move further down south) I just stick to my grandmother’s recipe. And sure, my copper cezve is a decoration now … but the feel, the smell and taste of a good cup of coffee … There is nothing like it. Like the world stops for a while and takes a break.
I think I need a new yunky cup. Maybe it's time I make it.

You should get your man a true man cup. Like a Batman cup or something ;)
I know right?! He has his man cup. It holds about 0,5l of coffee and has a mustache on it....but it was in the washer. :)
Ah :D Then it's good enough. I have a drinking glass of my own.. or it's a pint. And I use for drinking water, as a regular cup is too sissy to drink water from.
A pint is better even for water.
Yup. We have 7 glass pints. I did not buy not one...they all magicly appeared all on its own! Few just grew up on the coffee table over night and some actually still had beer in it when i woke up. :)
If this keeps on happening I'll need a nother kitchen cabinet for sure....
Really? Wow. You can make them disappear though.. try hiding them one at the time so we'll see if they are even missed ;)
It's sad how I like pints but dislike beer. That's wh I drink water from them.
I am a coffee lover myself....but whatever the cup it's the inside that counts :)
A cup isn't big enough. I use a stainless steel thermos. Coffee fuels me in the mornings. It's the one addiction I embrace. haha
yes....i drink a lot of it but i must say its usually in very small portions....i'm having a small cup as we type...and its after midnight. But I actually start my morning with 0,5l of warm water :D

I love coffee!! But my body has been all KNUY lately. So I'm cutting back enough that if I don't drink any I won't get a headache!!

Sadly not many thrift stores in my parts....or maybe thats lucky...since i cant say no to "old shit". Here we have more or less expensive new stuff or expensive old stuff and cheap china stuff. :)

It's been way too long since I've had a Turkish coffee. I'd probably need to get a small yunk cup to do it right though.
