The solution to many of AI's problems is running your own localised open-source models. They're far cheaper from an energy perspective to run. The rate at which model efficiency is trending down is quite fast. The problem with bigger labs is they're running at a scale 10000x larger than someone running their own local models.
The data centers in space thing is never gonna happen. Musk talks a big game, but he's always behind and constantly wrong (remember FSD, going to Mars, etc?).
