I love the second photo. It shows beautifully the contrast between the purple color of these flowers and the grey background of the stones. The different shades of green in the leaves adds more depth to it.

Prosperity certainly can puff one up - look at my car, my house, my bank account, my family etc. I think of little kids who say "look what I can do". Sometimes we are like that when things go well. Brag brag brag :)

Stunning flower photos! They look like they might be some type of clematis. The rich, luminescent purple colors remind me of velvet. Beautiful! @bleujay My thoughts regarding this week's principle are while it's acceptable to be minimally proud about one's prosperity, it's offensive and downright repulsive when a person becomes arrogant and cocky. It's best to always keep your feet on the ground: to remain grounded! Upv & Rsd

These are periwinkles...both in the garden and in the wild.
Clematis is a favourite to be sure in the garden...with a fleur to be treasured year after year.....if bleujay can find one...it will make its appearance here.

My pleasure! Yes, periwinkles! Your periwinkle blooms look quite large, which is what threw me off @bleujay. I have a couple flowering clematis plants in my garden and should have recognized your variety. Here is a photo of one of mine from early Summer:
