If asked, how would you define success ? For few success would mean money, fame, happiness, and various other things. Basically we can summarize that success is subjective. What you call as success might not be the same for someone else.

Before going further, pause for a moment and ask yourself when would you start calling your self as a successful man/women. Is it when you buy a big house for yourself or when you have a huge bank balance in your bank. Nobody is judging you . Every one has different parameters for defining success. The difference between them is things that they do to achieve their target.

A few things successful people follow :

  1. Believe in yourself : It does not matter if you have a big shot degree from a hot shot college. Albert Einstein said - The only source of knowledge is experience . If you have experience then just go for it.

  2. No copying : Do not start doing things that made other people successful. It is not necessary that what worked for others would work for you as well.

  3. Define your version of success : Define your own version of success and work towards achieving it. On the way you might find people who will disagree with you but keep working towards your target . Instead of pleasing others , just for the sake of it , keep running on the path you have defined .

  4. Seek Help : There is nothing wrong in seeking help from others. Help could be in the form of suggestions , support or any other thing. When you are at a point where you feel like a dead end , ask for help .You never know that person might have the answer to your dead end.

5 . Right time : As soon as you know that you have decided your version of success start working towards it. There is nothing called as the right time to start.

Here I would like to quote an example : Just the other day , I was watching the Bollywood movie : M.S Dhoni : The Untold Story .

The story of the star Indian cricketer is an inspiration for all and I guess that was the reason they decided to tell his story to the world. He knew he wanted to be a sports person , though discouraged by his family initially he kept working towards his goal. He was told he could not be a good batsman , only a good wicket keeper , but he knew that he had it in himself to be one of the best cricket Indian cricket team would have one day. The rest you know is history.

Cheers and have a good day all !!
