A little deviation from my usual in this series where I bring up certain issues that affect relationships. I will like to go away from romantic relationship today and just talk about relationships generally. You know, that thing we have with colleagues at work, our siblings, our friends, our Sunday school class, our pastor, yeah. That thing.
How do we define what's healthy and unhealthy in a relationship? When do we draw the line between good and toxic? Is there a yardstick for measurement of good and bad in relationships?
Brings me to closing question for this episode; how do we handle toxic relationships with colleagues at work?
You know, we can't avoid them. We have to see them as often as possible to do the needful at work. Do we walk on eggshells around them or come all out and say, "hey! You do this or that and it's not sitting well with me. I'd love you to adjust so that our working relationship can be smooth." Or, we go in like Jet Li, declaring a war and calling on allies to take sides?
Is there an easy way out? Can we just ignore them and move on with life? Or it's best to address the matter?

Dealing with colleagues in the office can sometimes be complicated but, just like you've pointed out, they are necessary evils. Usually, I am very diplomatic because any glitch will avoid workflow.
