Crawling Kid & BigBots: All in and Back to Steemit!

in #life5 years ago

Out of Steemit for quite a while, I have been naive to let my steem power sting in my account, with no use at all. Well, many personal reasons behind that -for sure- including two lovely kids, one just newborn and starting to craw and discover his new home from his totally new ground perspective :)

Anyways, no excuse to let your steem power sitting useless. Not at all!

For quite a while some of my SP has been delegated to @trufflepig, which is a quite lovely robot programmed to select the best publications in our platform, and build something like "the top 10 pages without the bidbots".

Although it's crank intricated 'machine learning ways' of working, if you go read his... better to say, the bot choices, you end up agreeing that the bot actually does a good job.

Well, long to short: The bot select excellent reads, and upvotes it first, assuring a good gain in case the post gets lots of attention. The total amount of Steem made by the bot is then divided between all delegators.

It does a quite brilliant job and really works in therm of active & fair curation. But, the profits, in general, are not that high.

Another way to profit from your steem power is to try and delegate to nasty bidbots, and just give up to them.

My feeling is that nobody -no whale- is willing to change the protocol to avoid bot-votes in the network. So, what we can do them?

You can try and delegate to @therising for example. It is working fine for me up to now and is a powerful way to fight SP inflation, especially if you need to be out of the platform for a while. Just give a try. That is a tip.

Best regards!
