I'm pretty neutral on him. I don't know him. I don't necessarily trust him but that guy must have a ton of money previous to even starting TRON.
He keeps himself in the news by spending insane amounts of money for dumb stuff to get everyone's attention. Like that dinner with Warren Buffet and that stupid banana he bought and then he just ate it.
He has stayed in the lime light I guess.

I always blamed the witnesses for trying to cut him off before anything had even happened. He mentioned turning STEEM into a TRC-20 token and they freaked out and were worried their drip was going to disappear. So then the thing got really messy and he is really rich and has really rich friends like CZ so it got nasty. I always felt like a lot of stuff that got pointed out was stuff that he did in retaliation from the Witnesses cutting off his stake.
It was a battle for the ages and really no one won in the end.
I would have at least thought the premise that HIVE forked away would have gave it a better case to get on Coinbase or Kraken but it ultimately didn't help. They might not like the HIVE Engine stuff.
It's hard to say and hindsight is 20/20. I think if he had approached it differently it could have went differently, but he didn't. He came out guns blazing and it was all downhill from there.
I'm surprised he sort of abandoned STEEM. At first it was kind of cool over there because they integrated a TRON wallet and we were getting TRON on top of the STEEM but then it stopped paying out and they took down all the ads for his other stuff like JustLend and all that stuff and now it is kind of like a creepy little ghost ship on the high seas.
I was happy to keep posting over there and moving my profits into HIVE, but that eventually became a hazard so I stopped.
