RE: Digging for Magic in the Chat Pack

I teach grade 8 and the book I do with my kids every year is the Outsiders. It is a fantastic story that forces the children to delve into the world of acceptance and stereotypes. There are so many strong themes and positive messages to be learned. They are always shocked to learn that the critically acclaimed novel was written by a 15 year old girl. We always finish off the unit by watching the film. You had some fun cards drawn here.
As for the most enjoyable thing about being a cat or dog? I think it would be highly entertaining to see all the ridiculous things my owner does that they don't realize I am seeing and laughing about inside. LOL. A reality stretch but we are having fun here so let's make that happen.
