I spent Saturday morning driving up Route 287 to the New Jersey/New York border for an easy hike up to the reservation lake. The reservation is located in Mahwah, NJ right across from the college I spent my formidable years: Ramapo College of New Jersey.
The arch is located at the entrance to the main academics hall
The path up to the lake actually takes you around a smaller one first. I took a lap around this one before heading up the mountain.
The path then branches off in different directions up the mountain. I took the simply yellow and blue trail up to the lake.
I've made this walk so many time before. I used to wander off deep into this place, the trails go on for hours. Once at the top, I let Brody have some fun before scaling back down.
Your country is beautiful, but also totally insane :D
Especially NJ. The United States is too big to be one country at this point. At least 5-6 distinct cultures.
New Jersey itself is 1/4 woods, 1/4 urban, 1/4 farmland and 1 /4 beach communities.
yes I was in NJ just a month ago. The people there are completely insane by now. But I enjoyed a lot of the more simple places
