Urbanization-The New Plantation?

Land ownership is a vital asset to everyone.
People who live in rural areas are more likely to own their own homes.
For those of us in the Steemit community, the tendency is that the average user is more informed than the rest of the world.
You are aware of the system that aims to proverbially control the masses in one way or the other.
One way the system has successfully achieved this is by attracting folks away from rural areas and enticing the population into urban and suburban communities.
Here, it is easier for them to patrol, conduct surveillance, and if necessary lock down access to and fro.

US Population density, 2010.png

The map above, gives a pictograph detail of the last census in 2010. By fair assumption by 2020 the number of people living in Metropolitan areas will increase.

It is quite easy to see that should a catastrophic vent were to take place, it will not be entirely difficult to regulate and restrict the 83% percent of the population residing in urban and suburban areas.

It beckons me to ask the question, have we been enticed to the new plantation?
