Yes you heard it all folks, This is true to life story here in the Philippines. Unskilled labors tend to bring home just only $6 for their whole family with sometimes two to three mouths of hungry kids to fed by. This construction workers tend to work tirelessly day and night to provide the need of their family . I am an engineer on site and it is difficult to see that this is the reality in the construction business . Some workers just say "This is already enough for me as long as i have food to give to my family". I do not know but they are already contented to what they do have now as long as they are happy .
For the information of everybody , this construction workers do not have benefits like health and insurance benefits . they are bound to what is so-call contractualization here in the Philippines . I am also a victim of this kind of employment approach . On their day-to-day expenses . Breakfast Lunch and Dinner would go roughly around $3 for a typical family . These workers have to spend for their own travel back and forth .
We all know that the Philippines is starting to build megastructures and massive infrastructure projects and developments but if this will continue .... How will the poor families could catch up with this . What will be the future of their families ? Is having contentment with this is already enough ?
