Happy "April Fools' Day" ( April 15th ) to U.S.A. Readers...

Have you paid "your" taxes yet?

"America is a land of taxation that was founded to avoid taxation." - Laurence J. Peter

This year, America's "April Fools' Day" actually falls on Monday the 17th. The more traditional April 15th "tax day" happens to be a Saturday this year.

Americans, by and large, have been "fooled" into believing that they owe a tax to the federal government. They've been deluded into thinking that all earnings are "income" and that they must pay.

Taxation is theft.

But this is not an article about the morality (or the obvious lack thereof) of taxation. It's about the fact that there is no law requiring the typical working stiff in America to pay a tax on his earnings. Let that thought sink in for a moment. I know that, due to cognitive dissonance, it may almost impossible for you to wrap your brain around that one, but it is absolutely true.

That "taxation is theft," is an assertion particularly true of the "federal income tax" in the United States of America. The tax is fraudulently collected from uncounted millions of people who do not owe any such tax at all. The entire scam is, of course, facilitated by the tens of thousands of "employers" who cheerfully act as unpaid tax collectors, "withholding" (i.e. robbing by conversion) the wages of their "employees."

The truth is, working for a living,

earning money by honest means, incurs no federal tax liability whatsoever. Even so, Americans have been deluded into believing that they owe such a tax. The "powers that be" behind the façade of the federal tax code, a.k.a. Title 26 U.S.C., have arranged to hide this "little detail" by making the "law" so vastly massive, intimidating, and confusing, that the average person would rather just ignore it.

Proving that this is so is beyond the scope of this article. I simply intend to "poke" you a little bit, to get you thinking about the topic at this opportune time of the year. Perhaps between now and next year, you'll choose to stop being fooled. Perhaps you'll choose to resist this evil and ungodly system that is robbing you and your family blind.

Before I go, however, I'll give you one little taste of truth...

One of the methods the federal beast uses to deceive you is "words of art." Did you know that in statutory law, words often don't mean the same thing that they mean in every-day use?

For instance, in the tax law, the word "includes" actually limits what is included to the things explicitly listed after it. An example of why and how that is important is the word "employee" in the tax code. You and I know what an employee is, don't we? Really? Maybe, maybe not.

Let's look at how 26 U.S. Code defines the word "employee." Keep in mind that any word specifically defined in the code means only what the code definition says, and no longer carries its "real world" meaning.

If you read 26 U.S. Code § 3401 - Definitions, you will find the following:

(c) Employee
For purposes of this chapter, the term “employee” includes an officer, employee, or elected official of the United States, a State, or any political subdivision thereof, or the District of Columbia, or any agency or instrumentality of any one or more of the foregoing. The term “employee” also includes an officer of a corporation.

So, according to the I.R.S. code, are you an "employee?"

When you come to understand that the word "includes" limits what is included to the list immediately following, you will realize that you are not an "employee" — unless you actually do happen to work for the government or a government corporation — in which case you probably do have a contractual obligation to pay an "income" tax.

Do you want to stop being fooled?

I've shown you one simple, blatant "gotcha" in the tax code, which I hope may have served to "open your eyes," if only a little.

Do your own research. Try to avoid the minefields of misinformation out there, the traps laid for the unwary. Maybe by next year, you'll be ready to "drop out" and stop feeding the beast.

Paying tax is the one thing that makes me so mad, you have to work a full day just to pay tax its a rip off.

Exactly right... It is a powerful gang of thugs robbing you at gunpoint. It is immoral and reprehensible.

Nothing we can do about it

Once again, Thanks for noticing! :)

At this point I don't think there is much we can do about taxes, since the majority of people have this delusion that it is their civic duty. When I talk to Democrats and Republicans about it, they all seem to make sure that they can get every deduction they can so that they aren't paying more. In the Democrats case, they think they are helping poor people with it, even though the evidence shows it is harming them more. With Republicans, they think it is patriotic because their taxes go to the military. Which is laughable, because the personal income tax doesn't pay for anything in government, it goes directly to the Federal Reserve to serve the national debt. Corporate taxes pay for the military. Great article! Resteemed!

Sad, sad, sad state of affairs in which hundreds of millions are duped into mindlessly supporting evil. Deep, deep sigh.

Thanks for your commentary, and Thank You kindly for the re-steem! ;)

It is strange that Humans rush to see Horror Movies , but true Horror is what Your so called Fellow Human Beings , think up to try and get what is yours from you ( and your family), and feel entitled to do so. Great Post , BTW . Thank You.

It is indeed truly horrifying. Which part of "Thou shalt not steal" don't they get?

Oh, that's right... they don't call it stealing because they believe that government is possessed of supernatural rights...

Thank you very much for stopping to comment! ;)

Always a Pleasure.
