RE: Be Mindful and Kind To Your Favorite Authors

in #life8 years ago

Greetings, @tarazkp, very nice to "meet" you here today. :)

Thank you very much for visiting, reading, and offering your thoughtful comments. I visited your Steemit blog to learn a bit more about you, and as a result I have both followed you and re-steemed your very fine article about rewards.

"Spending 5 or 6 hours developing detailed content for 45 cents may not be an effective use of my time."

That can indeed be very frustrating! For me, one of the most frustrating aspects has been the almost random consequences of precisely when I click the [POST] button. Sometimes an article that I dashed off in an hour or less during a fit of creativity, or sometimes a single photograph with minor comments, will gain more support than something that I've worked on over a period of days or weeks.

One thing that keeps me going is the promise that Steemit will persevere, and will become a long-term archive of my work. I contemplate the possibility that my descendants may one day access the Steemit blockchain and learn a little bit about their ancestor.

Thank you again for your visit! I hope you'll access my Topical Table of Contents and find some other articles of interest to you.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I have the same contemplation yet I also give it a fifty/fifty chance my descendants are actually a physical part of the blockchain itself anyway.

I also am looking long-term for Steemit but it is quite soul destroying at times. Luckily, I have quite a lot of soul.

However, I do wonder how many people will cope with the lack of consistency in recognition. I have read comments like 'I have been here a week and now understand how this works'... are you sure?

There is a lot of growth to come and it will be interesting to see where it leads. I plan on being a part of it anyway.

I just had a look at where I draft. Still 250 unfinished works to come and each day it grows yet my fingers do not get any faster at typing.

Hahahaha! I share that problem with you... See here for a partial list of articles to come:

Your fingers? Try using a better keyboard... I would, except I'm too lazy to learn Dvorak or other better technologies... :O
