How YOU can avoid hangover this weekend

in #life6 years ago (edited)

Hi Friend!

I will not get into the explanations of why each of these works. If many people request I will provide detailed explanations in separate post. If some of the aspects seems overwhelming- just pick the points you can stick to. The more you do- the less your hangover will be.

So here we go.

What to do during the night

1. Drink 4 tabs of any antacid. Drink 1 tablet an hour before you start drinking. Drink 1 after your first drink. Drink 1 about 2 hours in drinking. Drink 1 when you get home.

2. DO NOT SMOKE.

3. Choose light low fat snacks.

4. Here is an important one. Drink light (color wise), uncarbonated drinks. Straight up vodka will be the best drink.

5. If you want to vomit- vomit. Don't hold it inside.

6. Drink slow. Let your body adjust and remove the poison from your system.

7. Drink a significant amount of water before going to bed. Aim for at least 1 liter. The more the better.

What to do the next morning.

1. Wake up (thats an important one)

2. Vomit if you want to. While you are at it- use the toilet. You want to make sure you do your #2.

3. Drink antacid.

4. DO NOT DRINK ASPIRIN OR ADVIL OR TYLENOL. It will hurt you and will likely not help with hangover.

5. Drink a lot of water throughout the day. Try to drink at least a glass of water every hour.

6. Drink and eat sweet and low fat. Do not drink sour or carbonated. Avoid sour foods as well.

7. Drink strong coffee. Taking a caffeine pill is good too.

Bonus Tip: Drink some electrolyte juice (recipy below).

Hangover Remedy Scheme for strong and independent ones:

Drink 1 L electrolyte juice +2 tablets of caffeine throughout the day + vitamin supplement (double dose)

Hangover Remedy for Rich Folk:

Use on the Hangover Clinics. They will do a therapy that will get you up and running in a couple of hours. It is the same thing as above, just intravenous.

Hangover Remedy for Poor (or HODLers):

Just.Dont.Drink.

Electrolyte Juice recipe:

1-2 L water. If you take 1L the juice will taste nastier, but you'll be able to drink it faster.
3.5 g Sodium. This is your normal salt. Use google to find out how much of salt will give you 3.5 g (depends on salt, but usually about 2 teaspoons)
2.5 Potassium. This usually comes as salt substitute product. I use No-Salt brand. Make sure you get one with Potassium Chloride only, not a half-half mix with normal salt.
200-400 mg magnesium. You can buy cheap Magnesium citrate or expensive Magnesium Biglycinate.

Mix this all up in water. If you have Magnesium in tablets just take the tablets separately. It will taste nasty. Just power through it. It will help. Its like Powerade on steroids. You may add 2-3 teaspoon sugar for taste and glucose spike(will make you feel better)

Optional:
Instead of pure salt use half salt and half baking soda. It may help reduce acidity of your body and make the taste better.

You can find how much potassium, sodium is in your salt or baking soda on the internet.

Lastly, the only real way to avoid hangover is to not drink.

Have a good weekend.
