365 Days That Count - Day 362 - Oops I did it again... What did you get for Christmas? Fat. I got fat! 🐷

Margs and I gingerly got up and quickly decided breakfast was the best remedy to the hangover that hadn't quite set in.

We had only gone to bed a few hours earlier so in retrospect we were definitely still a little drunk at this stage. Luckily just as the hangover was about take hold, our food arrived and soon we were happily chewing having effectively dodged the kakness that was to come for another hour or so.

Sadly, by the time we paid the bill, the question of how we were going to get ourselves the 100 meters to my car had become a rather serious one.

We managed, just and amid many moans and groans at our full tummies and sore heads, but we got there eventually and I drove the short distance up the road to the stables. I wanted to see Sky and as Margs' car was still at my house it meant she could walk down to her's which is at the bottom of the estate. My horse gave me a little love before deciding the grass was more interesting - or I stank of booze - and we flopped down on the hill next to the paddock debating the possibilities of time travel. Would we one day be able to touch a magic portal and be taken straight into our beds???

When a fleeting wave of energy came over me I made the most of it and drove the 15 minutes, which felt like 60, home and to the safety of my sofa.

I snoozed for a bit and woke up feeling nothing short of ghastly. Luckily by this stage the lions share of the day had passed and I could look forward to night time and the prospect of sleeping and waking up better. But first, more food.. 🐷 And as I was not fit for public consumption it fell to Uber Eats to deliver me the green thai curry I was now craving!

A little - very enjoyable - while later, my food was finished and so was I! I picked up a pen and some paper and headed for bed.

As I mentioned the other day, hangovers - although bad for my waist line - seem to be a good time for reflection and I spent the few minutes before my eyes refused to stay open, writing down goals and reminders for the new year. Most of them went against basically everything I'd done that day but ho hey, you live and you learn (slowly!)

(hungover) Love,
