Today in the National Park we came across a three-toed sloth in the middle of the forest.
These sloths only eat one type of leaf, and their slow digestive system leaves them lacking in energy. They can spend up to 20 hours a day sleeping in order to conserve the little energy that they have!
This was the first time I'd seen a sloth in real life and we were able to get quite close to this guy in order to take a picture!
Once you locate a sloth you can kinda be sure that he'll still be in a similar location the next day because of the slow speed with which they move - it takes a sloth 30 days to digest ONE leaf.
