Boiling hot water erupting from the earth's crust
Geysers have always fascinated me. The Tatio Geysers are a network of geothermal geysers spurting out of the earth's crust at 4,500 meters above sea level.
Once again I had to get up around 3am to prepare for the long and bumpy ride into the mountains to get that sunrise shot. The first thing that hit me was the piercing cold temperature, even the 4 thermal layers I was wearing weren't enough at this altitude so early in the morning. Still we managed to get the money shot - the geysers spurting out with the sun rising behind.
