Legend of Lake Stiucii

Wow! I have now read about a truly legendary lake:
LAKE SACALAIA near Gherla.
The legend:

Monstrous vices, people's disappearance, a way to other worlds, strange phenomena, a Loch Ness of Transylvania.

At large:

It was on an old salt mine near a Roman road, along which some small settlements of the "ocns"
It is said that, during Roman times, the lake swallowed a settlement. When the water became very clear, one could see the roof of a basilica. Experienced swimmers took advantage of the sunken village, but one fell victim, swallowed by a swirl that formed around the basilica
Sometimes, in the autumn, when the water cools down suddenly, the vietuitoarele of the lake rises to the surface to fill the oxygen deficiency in the water. This "occurrence" is accompanied by a strong sulfur spill that releases from the bottom of the water. The phenomenon takes a few days, an opportunity for hunters to hang on to the panda, waiting for the monstrous living creatures living in the lake.
Sometimes, even the size of the fish is "monstrous": over 3 m and over 7 m of sleep. Because of the "unknown" lake, fishing is allowed only from the boat and is prohibited during the surface exiting fish.
Sacalaia is on a mass of salt, but today its waters are sweet due to clogging, which prevents the water from coming into contact with salt. It is considered the deepest lake in the Transylvanian Plain due to tectonics and salt dissolution processes. The exact depth of the lake is unknown. Officially it is said to be about 10 to 12 meters. But some Austrian divers dived a dive of up to 28 meters, coming to the surface without touching the ass. The legend says that in a certain place on the bottom of the lake, a gate to another hemisphere would be found. Or to other worlds. Esoteric. Strange life-styles of the lake, spitting fire and brimming smell, guard this gate, recalling the mythical guardians of the Beyond the World.

When the water is very clear it could be seen a church. Over time, many have descended in the depths hoping to see the small town. Some of them have never come back.
