RE: Why you’re unhappy and how to change

in #life8 years ago

Great post you have here!

I agree that happiness is the way we perceive ourselves. An inner thing that needs to be awaken, by dropping our illusions and by stop changing the others. It's us who need to change to be happy.

I agree about the hobbies. Our happiness should not depend on anyone else. We should have activities we enjoy on our own - going out for nature walks, adventures, travel etc.

One thing I hated about getting older is that my friend circle became smaller. It’s not that it purposely went that way, it’s just that people get partnered up and drifted away out of contact from me.

I hear you. My friends are all moving on and all that. And here I am still traveling, not taking life seriously, then writing about it. Now that I'm older, I prefer quality friends.

Sort:

It's true. As I age I go for quality rather than quantity, and if that means having very little friends to rely on, then so be it. The others weren't worth much anyway.

On an unrelated note I had a peek at your blog earlier. You are doing what I always wanted to do in life but didn't have the guts to do it. Now I have the guts but I'm Married and have a child. That's why I try and tell people to take risks - there's always a diamond in the rough that can be plucked out of any adventure that you take. Going to be following you!

Thanks! Following you back. When your child grows up, then maybe you can go travel together? ;)

I have thought of that. I don't know :) I guess we'll see! She wants to trek the Amazon. I'm scared, I'd rather scout the quaint alleyways of morocco, scouting for some awesome shisha cafes :)

Wow, trek the amazon, I admire her! If I have a child, I'd go back to The Galapagos to scuba dive, and let her be amazed with the hammerhead sharks. Then we'll go to another massive zoo like the Amazon

Would it surprise you if I said she's already been there and done that? :) Her nan died when she was younger and left her some money. That's what she did! She took a few months in Equador and that was one of her excursions!

Amazing, It's nice to expose the kids to the wonders of this world, that there's a reason why it's big.
