Cloak of positivity

in #life6 years ago (edited)

A very good afternoon my fellow Steemians. Hope you are all doing fine.
So there's been something going on in my mind which has started to bother me a little.
The other day I heard some gossip about someone I know.
A guy whom I thought is a genuine one, talks about good deeds, believes in God, prays, made people aware of works of God, encouraged them to pray is actually a cheat, a con.
I really don't know how much of it is true but it did hit me. It's not only him but most of the people these who share the same characteristics.

People wear a cloak of honesty, positivity and all those heavy words that we read in philosophical books, chanting god's name a hundred times a day, doing charity, doing 'seva' at religious places but they are so mean, selfish and cunning on the inside. People are just so much into the materialistic things that they have forgot everything else. Empathy, love, care and respect should be the qualities that a human should possess but Everything people care about is themselves, how they can take advantage of people around, take money from them and lead a comfortable life. There's no doubt that money can get you comfort but fooling others, taking advantage of someone's vulnerability- How does that make you human?

Yeah.. that's the whole point

if someone is giving his/her money to someone whom they think is god true devotee then this is not that true devotee fault it's fault of that fucking person who is giving money and in my opinion this is a good business isn't it @drdivya

Well.. that's not business, that's cheating. But it's happening every where

Frankly speaking, this is all that's happening in the real world and it's not one's fault, this is what society force people to become. In today's world, all that has become important for most people is how much money one makes(or I would say prints) without questioning the means, that's the main problem. It doesn't matter if the money comes by cheating others, society praises those who have money nowadays. That's why I don't expect anything from others and I would suggest you the same.

As we say in india "Agar saab bahut acha lage toh daal me kaala hota he, normally"

I completely agree with you

This is very sensitive topic, no one is allowed to comment on the faith of other person, so respect others point of view even if you are not agree with him. Everyone have the rights to show there devotion to their religion, so be it. And happy rakshabandhan to everyone....
