A very good evening my fellow steemians. How are you all doing?
Tonight's post is about a discussion which I had with a colleague today. During a huddle session, he passed some comments like India is poor country, we were ruled by British because we were dumb, we had no planning in terms of infrastructure or education, the only development India has is because of the British. After which we had a little debate as I didn't agree to this, why would a rich country like Great Britain waste even a single day in such a country.
Why would they rule our country for 200 years if we were poor?
Only to bring about development? To bring prosperity? Factually, that was not the case, British got attracted to India because of its rich history, it wasn't called 'the golden bird' for no reason.
We come from a rich background, we are still developing but we are no less than any other nation.
As far as my knowledge is concerned, sanskrit is said to be the mother of all languages, we have ancient scriptures which have content related to surgery and medicine it has mentions of Sushruta who is believed to be a surgeon, long before arrival of Hippocrates. So we were never lagging behind anyone. I wouldn't say it is best country but it's working really hard towards its development and one day it will become a developed nation.

As i went through your post It seems that you have a great knowledge about our Indian culture.
We all are aware about it still you see many of us are just ignoring it as we are unaware of these.
We all are busy in doing rights in the name of religions and casts and the politicians are taking advantage of these.
The only thing can change our India is The Youth.
But our parents doesn't allow us to do so because they think we are going in a mud.
However i think if we have to clean the Mud someone has to get into it.
I believe we will change the future of this wonderful nation and India will become an influential nation in the forthcoming years.

Explaining to his colleague, India was never a poor country. It was made. But now we are developing at very fast and one day the flag of our development will remain louder.

Everything brings some good and bad consequences which are the same in the case of British ruled India. And others facts are absolutely right and lwe will be a developed country.

there so many things have to change before we think about this
1- if you want to become politician then you should have minimum qualification and you will have to pass a simple exam because only a educate person can change thing and i think you know this very well
2- we should go above cast and religion type things and think about development not caste and gender before cast our vote
there are many more things
I totally agree.. many others things are still to be taken into consideration
