For past three days, we have been studying the father figure at home. And we have seen the unquantifiable importance of a father figure at home
A natural family is made up of Father, mother, and children. This contrasts with man-made families that are common these days. Some are referred to as single Parenthood family, not due to the demise of a partner, but personal decision to be single parent for reasons only known to them.
Some persons claim that the reason is not far from fear of submission to a man or anyone. Others say that it is as a result of bad decisions taken in the past. Some young ladies deliberately refuse to settle down at their ripe age with a man of their choice. This, some do without knowing that a woman is like a flower which may lose its beauty at any moment.
Single motherhood is an encouragement to adultary and fornication, and other immoral dispositions. Every family needs the feel of a father and a mother. Both figures are needed to bring up morally balanced children who will not be problems to the society.
The Word for Today aptly addressed the importance of fatherhood in our homes and the consequences of its absence. The following statistics was put forward as a product of research, and it goes like this:
Fatherless children are 100% to 200% more likely to experience emotional and behavioural problem.
Over 50% of teens who attempt suicide live in single-parent homes.
Boys without fathers are 300% more likely to end up incarcerated.
Fatherless daughters are 53% more likely to marry in their teens.
Fatherless daughters who marry have a 92% higher divorce rate.
Fatherless sons are 35% more likely to experience marital failure.
80% of teenagers admitted to psychiatric hospital come from fatherless homes, and 50% more likely to grapple with learning disabilities.
50% fathers said they feel guilty about spending too little time with their children.
Why do fathers spend little or no time with their children.
There are so many reasons, amongst other are:
Divorce: this is common people who claim they are educated, they know their rights, and no one can take them for a ride.
Demise: the sudden death of the man leaves the children without a father. Many attimes another person may take the place of the man, but there is always problem, either from the man or the children who will not see anything good about the new father.
Busy schedule: some fathers are so occupied with their work that they don't have time for their children. "Family Research Council", according to 'The Word for Today', the average dad spends 8 minutes a day in direct conversation with her kids. This is amazing, right? Lol!
Irresponsibility: some irresponsible father's who go about drinking and meeting strange women do not remember their families.
Extreme Formal Education: one will say, what is wrong with formal education? Indeed, nothing is wrong when it is moderate by allowing your kids learn family culture and immediate community culture. Some parents send their Primary school age pupil to boarding school as a way of getting them out of way. They think their teachers can do everything for their kids.
Suggestions: Do not divorce, if not for anything, for the sake of your children. There is no perfect man or woman anywhere on earth, even you are not perfect. Whatever that made you divorce, at your old age when you have seen more to life, you will regret and know you would have contained the challenge you had.

Okay, ebohio2008? From an overall standpoint, your article was well written. However, I don't see girls getting married in their teens as necessarily being a bad thing. If someone were to come to me for advice on when is a good time to get married, I would tell them to put it off until their thirties. However, I've known a lot of women throughout my life who have gotten married in their teens, and they lived long, happy, productive lives and raised children to be upstanding members of society. I realize that you were only trying to reiterate information that you researched from government statistics, but I just had to run that thought by you here in my reply. Anyhow, I upvoted your article.
Thanks a lot
