Stay angry a little and hold on to forgiveness faster than you can say "jack" and you will experience an influx of joy and brightness as the laughter will come rushing in like a waterfall unhinged.

Holding on to anger and resentment requires some really humongous amount of work. The clenching, the frowning, the tenseness of the muscles etc doesn't come cheap or easy, it comes from a continuous use of the mind in a wrong way.
We will always be hurt and treated badly, but it will be a good thing if we are able to channel our inner energy to achieving some joy instead of staying glued to the hurt or pain. I am guilty of feeling really tensed up when I feel I am hurt, but I am able to maintain a clear head because, I don't wanna end up with painful muscles and sore jaw.
Life is a combination of the hurts, the pains, the sorrows, the little trickles of joy and happiness and a minimal amount of love (as there are more haters than lovers), but it is also up to you the individual to, make it seem different with more love, joy and happiness and a minimal amount of the negatives to help you ride the storms.
What are you doing today? Help someone find their place in happiness and drive out the hurt that is mostly perceived as the norm.

The more you build up anger the more you slipping into depression.Do forget a joyful heart is a good medicine any day any time. When you carry a strong face of anger you make yourself unapproachable, unfriendly and lonely. A smile does the magic it just changes every thing about your personality: its contagious because everyone seems to get close to you. Just put up a smile and it grows there after to happiness. However, In life bad things happen but that does not necessary make you to carry a strong sad or angry face. Such is life you loss to day then you win tomorrow. Bravo @ejamai

Everyone says so these do that none say how. When we're sad, they say, "don't be sad" but now how not to be sad. We know we shouldn't remain sad but they're basically saying what we are already aware. This may seem kinda off topic but I want to know your view regarding this thing.

Surely, painsa and troubles are sure to emerge but we need to learn how to hold on to our joy and let anger. Anger is very dangerous and it kills if not oneself, also the community as a whole..

This is something am having to work on myself more. I hardly get angry and because of that my anger is usually very bad and lasts for quite a while.

Thankfully it is something I realize needs to be worked on and am doing what I can in that regard

Best way to relieve one's self from pent up anger is to get some strenuous exercize. Try pumping some iron or find a good physical outlet like racquetball. You will be surprised at the tensions you can release. Even swimming can do wonders, as long as you work at it.
