I once left my garage door open all night on accident, my dog Stitch an old and loving shitzu got out and apparently fell asleep behind my grandpa's car. The next morning when my grandpa backed out he ran Stitch over on accident I don't know how Stitch didn't wake up when the car started or when the garage door opened but it was a very sad morning.
