FEAR IMPOSED

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Fear is always willing to see things worse than they are.
Tito Livio

Since we were children, we've been taught to feel the inculcated fears, by our parents, society, or even universal fears.
Since we have use of reason, we carry these fears and the idea of sowing a kind of rejection and even in many cases a hatred for certain things that at times makes no sense.
They generate a world of prejudices with the excuse of protection against a hypothetical situation, with information that is not completely true and much less objective.
I remember that my education was a little different, at least form my parents, from what I see today, and thanks to my mother today I can see this reality a bit more clear.
She taught me that no animal is bad, only the human being, I remember being five when my mother said for the first time "it doesn't matter if its a spider or a crocodile or a dog, animals should not be killed" and that was how I learned that the spiders must be gathered and released outside.

This goes back far beyond the affection or respect we has been taught to treat animals, and the fears transmitted from generation to generation go much further.
We have been forced by fear of loneliness as a situation that no one wants to be, "be careful, you will be left alone", "you will not have anyone to take care of you", etc.
We have grown up with fear of rejection, being different, showing something out of the ordinary, and not just talking about aesthetics, fear of a person with tattoos, or who dresses differently, fear of homosexuality, fear of drugs, and this is where we think a bit and tie a couple of knots, we can easily draw in conclusion that: Inculcating fear is the most effective defense mechanism at the time of wanting to reject a certain behavior or attitude.

Nowadays these kind of teachings and attitudes are still present in our society, from the most mundane to the most absurd fears, fear of terrorism, fear of failure, economic fear has been par excellence number one, and everything which relates to failure to a kind life has to be feared.
We live with problems of racism and xenophobia today, in 2017, even though many children grow up with an idea of exclusion to whom they believe, or rather they have been taught that they are different.
We are immersed in a world where unconscious evil reigns, and generations after generations are fed by frustrations and prejudices from others, and like a big snowball this ends up impacting on everyone's life.

There are no bad animals, just like a person, for being of another color, of another nationality or with other sexual preferences does not have to be a bad person for that simple fact, the idea of failure should not represent fear, if not the opposite , a push of encouragement and the fuel that makes us start up for what we want to be, we should not think of loneliness as something negative of which we must be cautious, loneliness is solitary when we do not know to be with ourselves, there are many things that we think are worthy of fear, when in reality they are merely circumstances, or situations that have been imposed by a society that has consciously or unconsciously tried to manipulate us from the beginning.

Let us be free to live a full and free life, free from fears and prejudices of others.

Yes, I agree. Fear can be crippling if you let it.
