Money and humans mixed isn't always bad. It all depends on the human. If you enjoy what you do to get money, it's easy to think about the project and the work, rather than the outcome and the money, while busy, so the results don't come out sloppy, leading to more money down the road.

If you enjoy what you do to get money,

This is the hard part. I think most people accept what they do to make money, not so much love it. Maybe that is part of the constant negative vitriol everywhere.

I think that has something to do with it, sure. It's everywhere, including the workplace.

The ideals of schooling are that we find what we love to do, learn how to do it, then go off and make money doing it. But that is really a small percentile of humanity that is able to obtain that.

I started to write about how nice it would be if an experiment could be done where a population was able to follow their hearts/passions and still make money, but I realized half way through the thought that this would just be logistically impossible and leans towards UBI.
