TIGHT SPACES
Dark nights lonely as the sea
A deserted island of misplaced dreams
Wandering its shores aimlessly
Wondering if there's more apart from this insanity
Crippled limbs of aspiration that once ran marathons
Healthy ambitions crushed relentlessly
Bowing to fear and self-loathing
A piercing infliction that carves caverns filled with regret and addiction
Days are never quite so bright
Grey cloudy skies stand ready to rain down upon a life
That settled for worse falling short of good
Not happy with either now that time is short
