You Are Not Alone

You are never alone in this world. There is nothing that you think or feel that is unique to you. There is always someone that feels the way you feel or thinks the same thoughts as you do. There is always someone that understands what you’re going through.

We all like to think that our thoughts and feeling are unique and extraordinary. But feeling unique only leads to loneliness and isolation. Knowing that your struggle is shared with your fellow humans makes the pain feel a little lighter and more manageable.

Accepting that others have gone through the same difficulties, and are still alive and fighting for a better future, will give you strength and hope.

Share your pain with others, so they might also see that they are not alone.

Depression, feeling worthless and unloved — those are all lies that lock your brain into a state of self-imposed imprisonment.
You can break out of that prison if you realize that you are the owner of those thoughts and not the other way around.

Use the self-hatred thoughts as learning material. Question their rationality and validity.

Whenever you are feeling you can’t take it any longer, and that you are disappearing into oblivion remember that you are not alone. You are not weak — you only think you are.

You will survive, and you will make it through this.

Depression is real... gotta network and have the friends and/or family to help us through. Thanks for the post !

The concept sounded corny, but I actually enjoyed reading this short piece!

Thanks. I just wrote it without thinking much about it.
