I used to do these weekly, then they got phased down to monthly, and then I just kind of forgot to do them altogether. I don't know how long it has been since the last time I did this but here is what I found that kind of made me smile, made me think, or made me feel nostalgic. If you have any to share back I do enjoy a good meme.
I first started becoming into memes when I decided back about 7 years ago to abandon traditional social-media. Too many people were falling out with friends and family over politics, and I got roped into a few heated arguments with people I either didn't know at all or people who had been dear friends in real life but seemed ready and willing to throw all of that away over a difference of opinion. I know that these people would not behave this way to my face but the internet just turned us all into fools. Since leaving social media, I end up not hearing about a lot of stuff that happens in the world and mostly I am just fine with that being the case.
So now when I have dead time I will just head over to 9gag and look at memes. I honestly learn more unbiased information about global affairs from the comments section there than I ever would from any news site plus I get to have some fun. I waste a lot less time with it as well. Anyway, on to the memes.

if you are not American (or maybe Canadian) you have likely never experienced the pure joy that is Waffle House late at night. This 24-hour breakfast joint is where all the dregs of society descend after a long night of getting wasted. Then they fight. It's so common for scuffles to break out there that it has become a meme. People travel to the States just to witness the chaos and are disappointed when it doesn't happen. I have not been to one of these in over a decade. The food is pretty ok there too.

I used to be a big fan of UFC but haven't really paid any attention to it in years. Last weekend an old legend named Ronda Rousey came out of retirement to fight another pioneer in women's MMA... and the fight was over in something absurd like 15 seconds. They hyped this thing up for years and it was over that quickly.

I love Breaking Bad and also think back to some college courses or high school classes that I had that were seriously difficult. One class in particular was something I was completely unprepared for on the 2nd exam. The first exam had been so much of a cakewalk that myself and many other students didn't really take the class seriously. There was a massive difficulty spike on the 2nd exam and nearly everyone in the class failed. While this should be illegal, the professor actually did this on purpose to "test us" then gave us a lecture on not taking his class seriously. He ended up giving us another chance at the exam and this was his "shock and awe" method of getting us to study. I thought it was a jerk move.

This was not posted locally here in Da Nang but it may as well have been. While I am not new to the city I am a remote worker. I like to think that the locals like me but I have to face the fact that this is not likely the case. Now that we have seen a rapid influx of new foreigners in Da Nang, and a lot of them are behaving badly, I can understand why the locals don't care for the new foreigners or maybe even the old ones.

This one might be a little bit racist but that's not why I enjoyed it. I like it because there are certain nationalities that visit Da Nang, normally in groups and they seem to believe that the world is their disco and they are the DJ. They cause problems everywhere that they go and infuriate a lot of people. I don't understand the mind of a person that thinks it is a good idea to fill up the airwaves with their music everywhere that they go. We have headphones and earbuds for a reason, ya jerks.

I didn't know there was a Zelda movie in the works until I saw this meme. I hope they do it justice! If you ever played a Zelda game though, you are probably familiar with how it is that you can destroy everything in other people's houses and nobody every gets upset with you.

The "Too damn high" meme is a classic meme format that if done properly, is applauded by the meme communities.
Recently I decided to step back on my drinking and only go out on Thursdays for bowling and then "special occasions." The only issue with this is that my group of alcoholic friends are making special occasions out of just about anything. I will have to refine my criteria for participation.

This is how Nadi spends every single day that I cannot take her with me to something that I leave the apartment for. Even though the process has been repeated thousands of times I never get tired of her enthusiasm for me returning home. Dogs are wonderful creatures.

I have had a lot of jobs in my life but none of them is more ridiculous than when I was promoted to project manager at a Federal government job I held when living in the States. I had zero idea about what I was doing and to this day I don't really know what my job was. At meetings I would just sit in silence because honestly, I had nothing to offer to the conversation. It is amazing that my projects didn't completely fall apart and the only reason why that was the case was because apparently I was good at delegation. I do not miss that side of employment.

The last meme is just another reason why dogs rule. I often get down about certain things in my life and get sad because of them. Then I look at how thrilled my dog is to do something so simple as have a stick. I think we could all learn a lot by just observing dogs' behavior patterns.

I'll end this as I always do, with a wonderful picture of my favorite doggy in the world, Nadi. Here she is having her 28th nap of the day after getting a bath.
