Home renovation #01: Change a mosquito net

in #life7 years ago

Hey Steem world :)

When you live in a tropical country, it is important to protect yourself from mosquitoes. For example, dengue cases have often been reported in the area, and this can be dangerous for children.
So what to do a Saturday morning waking up? Change a torn mosquito net!

There is a big hole in it, it was urgent to fix this mosquito net, it was a mosquitoes gateway and also a cat door trap..

Here you can easily find rolls of mosquito net, for about 1.5 Steems lol

For this large-scale work we will need a flat screwdriver, a pair of scissors and a cutter. The flat screwdriver will serve us to remove the gasket that keeps the old torn mosquito net.

Once the gasket removed, it's easy to remove mosquito net.

With my little worker on my way who inspects the work and asks 12 questions per second, the screen is unrolled over the frame.

Then the joint is inserted over a short side in order to stabilize it and to stretch it.

Once stretched, we stuck gasket in the other short side and then we can insert it throughout the length.

There is a handle on the frame, so I cut with scissors a rectangle that can pass underneath.
I finish stretching the mosquito net and I insert the gasket length on this side there.

Once the mosquito net is tight and the seal is fixed all around, just slide the cutter just above the seal to remove what exceeds to make a nice finish.

Voilà! Once installed new gasket, our mosquitoes enemies will have no chance venturing into the house. And cat will have to cozy up to me get in, open space is finished lol.

Have a nice week end and see you soon my Steem's friends :)
